Matsuda’s Heritage Collection is a living archive of the brand’s most iconic and experimental frames, carefully reissued in small batches and never reproduced once sold out. Each piece in the collection carries with it a timestamp of originality, a commitment to craftsmanship, and a promise of rarity. At the time of writing, three frames are available: 10604H, 10616H, and 2809H-V2.

10604H – Originally Released 1995

With its balanced oval silhouette and sculptural visor, the 10604H is designed for individuals who value quiet confidence and expressive details. Each frame is constructed from hand-layered Japanese acetate and accented with intricate metalwork finished in precious metals. The frame’s distinct lines and elevated construction make it feel at once wearable and artful. Only 499 pieces per color are available worldwide.

10616H – Originally Released 1997

Bolder and more avant-garde in spirit, the 10616H embraces the experimental energy that has always set Matsuda apart. Featuring a thick, sculptural acetate front and the brand’s signature M+N engraving on the temple tips, the frame is unapologetically expressive. Limited to 399 numbered pieces per color.

2809H-V2 – Originally Released 1989

The 2809H-V2 reimagines one of Matsuda’s most recognized designs. This updated version is made from intricately detailed titanium, finished with a detachable side shield that adds both functionality and attitude. Only 500 units exist in each of 2 colorways, crafted by hand in Fukui, Japan. Designed for collectors, this frame is a nod to the past while remaining undeniably modern in execution.

A Collection Without Repetition

What sets the Heritage Collection apart isn’t just the craftsmanship or historical references—it’s the ethos. Each frame is a one-time release, individually numbered and produced in highly limited quantities. Once a model sells out, it will not return, reinforcing the collection’s status as a destination for true eyewear connoisseurs and collectors. This approach not only protects the uniqueness of each piece but also reinforces Matsuda’s design ethos.
