Limited to 199 pieces per colorway, the Cobra combines sculpted Japanese acetate, exposed titanium and five distinctive interpretations of an American performance icon.
The T HENRI Cobra is inspired by the Shelby Cobra. A sportscar built around an almost unreasonable proposition: take a compact European roadster and give it the heart of an American V8.
Carroll Shelby’s team adapted the lightweight AC Ace chassis to accept Ford power, creating a sportscar whose modest proportions concealed extraordinary performance. The combination helped turn the Cobra into one of the most recognizable American performance cars ever produced.
The Automotive Influence in The Frame
Cobra’s rounded geometric lenses create a relatively compact center, while the sculpted acetate surrounding them gives the frame considerably more presence. Faceted milling along the brow, eyewires and end pieces breaks up the polished surface and makes the front appear to change shape as light moves across it.
There is a softness to the lens shape, but very little about the frame feels delicate. The pronounced brow, deep-set lenses and carved bridge give it the visual weight expected of something inspired by a car famous for placing excessive power into a small package.
Detail Within The Temples
The frame becomes more distinct when viewed from the side. A cutaway window in each acetate temple exposes an intricately engraved titanium core. Instead of hiding the internal reinforcement, T HENRI has turned it into one of the Cobra’s primary decorative elements.
Toward the rear, the temples taper before expanding into sharply sculpted tips with traction grooves. It is one of several places where the automotive influence comes through.
Colors of The Cobra
The Cobra is offered in five colorways: Shadow II, black with gold-toned accents; Scoria, gray with silver detailing; Petra, tortoise with gold; Pampelonne, pink with gold; and Cocoa, brown with gold. The underlying design remains unchanged, but the shifts in acetate, metal finish and lens color give each version a noticeably different presence.
Limited Edition and Collectability
Every frame includes a certificate of authenticity, along with T HENRI’s signature presentation box and a custom leather case. Each Cobra colorway is limited to a serialized production of 199 pieces or fewer, meaning no more than 995 examples will exist across the complete collection.
