Jacques Marie Mage launches Éditions Pliables, an all-new limited-edition series that introduces two elegant, foldable titanium frames: the Archibald and the Koenig. Designed with the spirit of modernism and precision, these frames combine Japanese craftsmanship with mid-century aesthetics.

Folding Innovation Meets Classic 1960s Style

Taking over two years to develop, the Éditions Pliables collection is centered on an innovative folding mechanism that allows the frames to collapse neatly at both the bridge, temple tips and mid temples. The result is a sleek, pocketable accessory that offers the convenience of portability without sacrificing structure, balance, or detail. Each frame is constructed from 100% beta titanium and features finely engraved wire rims, pill-shaped nose pads, and tailfin shaped temple tips.

The Frames

Archibald

A compact panto shape with a smaller fit, taking inspiration from 1960s intellectual style. With its rounded silhouette and polished epoxy accents, it exudes a refined and thoughtful presence—perfect for those who appreciate subtlety with substance.

Koenig

A more squared, medium-fit rectangular shape, also influenced by postwar design. With its clean lines and confident structure, it reflects an architectural spirit and a sense of deliberate sophistication.

Both designs are offered in optical and sun variants, each crafted to embody JMM’s meticulous attention to form, function, and finish.

Colorways and Limited Edition

For those seeking sunglasses, the Archibald and Koenig are available in:

  • Gold with Brown Tinted LensesLimited to 300 pieces

  • Black with Black Tinted LensesLimited to 300 pieces

The optical editions are offered in:

A Collector’s Experience

In true JMM fashion, the Éditions Pliables collection is presented with an elevated packaging experience. Each frame is housed in a Bordeaux Empire colored Collector’s Box Set and accompanied by a new top-loading, travel-sized leather eyewear case. A custom oversized, double-sided microfiber cloth and a letterpress certificate of authenticity—featuring the craftsmen’s signatures and handwritten edition number—complete the luxury packaging.
