Press Eyewear Carved: Sculpture, Sound, and Structure

Press Eyewear has introduced a new collection called Carved, a release that places metal construction at the center of the design story. The collection includes four new frame styles, each offered in both sunglass and optical versions, with five colorways per style. Alongside the core release sits a single limited edition frame, Diz – Pride, produced in just 75 pieces and marked by a vivid mixed-acetate eyewire.

Metal as the Foundation

At the heart of the Carved collection is block titanium. Each frame is sculpted from 4mm titanium, giving it presence and depth while remaining surprisingly light. The titanium is paired with recessed Mazzucchelli bio-acetate inserts, creating contrast between metal and color without adding bulk.

Jazz as a Design Reference

Carved is a tribute to jazz, often described as America’s most influential musical art form. The collection takes cues from the musicians, the instruments, and the attitude of the era that shaped the sound. Each frame is named after a jazz legend and Jeff Press, Designer of Press Eyewear, has spoken about how jazz is a personal influence.

Diz Pride: A Limited Edition Centerpiece

At the forefront of the collection is Diz Pride, a limited edition frame restricted to just 75 pieces. While it shares the same titanium foundation as the rest of the Carved collection, it stands apart through its colorful mixed-acetate eyewire. The use of color adds a different energy, making the frame feel more expressive while staying rooted in the same sculptural language.

Accessories and Packaging

Each frame in the Carved collection comes with a collectors box, a hard case and soft case, along with two different sized cleaning cloths.
