The Inspiration and Story Behind the Collection
The Last Frontier VI Collection is a tribute to the rich traditions of the American West. JMM’s founder, Jerome Mage, has a profound interest in the culture and traditions of this region, which is evident in the collection’s design elements. The eyewear pieces incorporate motifs and craftsmanship techniques that honor indigenous arts.Â
The Frames
The collection comprises of twelve distinct frames, each meticulously designed to embody the spirit of the American West. Every frame has been limited to between 50 and 200 ever being made. The glasses are numbered and come in up to 4 different colorways. Some frames in the collection are made with an engraved damascus wirecore and every frame has a bucking bronco or thunderbird medallion or inlay on the temple tips.Â
Materials and Craftsmanship
Each frame in the Last Frontier VI Collection is handcrafted in Japan using high-quality plant-based acetate. The designs incorporate sterling silver and turquoise, materials that hold significant cultural value in Native American communities. The turquoise used is ethically sourced from some of the oldest mines in the United States.
Exclusive Packaging
To complement the artistry of the eyewear, each frame comes with a handmade Italian leather case. A custom cleaning cloth is included, designed to reflect the collection’s aesthetic. Additionally, a custom leather display box offers a unique display piece.
