Shwood has partnered with the Grateful Dead to release a new sunglass collection that takes familiar silhouettes and layers them in the band’s most recognizable imagery. The result is a set of sunglasses that connect music history with Shwood’s unique and sustainable eyewear.
The collection includes three frames: CAMP Glacier, CAMP Topo, and CAMP Crag. Each frame is offered in two distinct bundles, Stealie and Bears each offering unique accessories and details. All frames are officially licensed by the Grateful Dead and built using plant-based bioplastic paired with laser-engraved walnut temples.
Stealie Bundle:
The Stealie bundle centers on the Grateful Dead’s skull logo. Each frame in the bundle is available with either Sunset Lenses or Brown Fade lenses. Both lens types are engraved with Forever Grateful. The wooden temples carry engraved details that complete the theme. One side reads “Grateful Dead,” while the other features the skull logo. Each Stealie bundle includes a themed box, matching cleaning cloth, paracord eyewear retainer, and a sleeping bag-style soft case.
Bears Bundle:
The Bears bundle draws from the Marching Bears imagery that has become a defining part of the Grateful Dead. Frames in the Bears bundle come with either Sunset Lenses or Brown Fade lenses, both engraved with Forever Grateful. This time the wooden temples are engraved with “Grateful Dead” on one side and the Marching Bears on the other. Each Bears bundle comes in Marching Bears-themed packaging, along with a matching cleaning cloth, paracord retainer, and sleeping bag soft case.
