The eyewear designers of the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America), known as the edCFDA, have come together to mark their 10th anniversary by launching a dedicated limited-edition eyewear collection. This milestone project not only celebrates a decade of collaboration within the eyewear design community but also supports a meaningful cause. All proceeds from the sales of these exclusive frames will benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, which is committed to helping children with cancer and their families.

Six Unique Frames: A Collaboration for a Cause

The 10th-anniversary collection features six individual eyewear designs created by edCFDA members, each offering a unique aesthetic while incorporating a unifying theme. The designers involved in this special initiative are:

The collection consists of five sunglasses and one ophthalmic frame, unified by the use of lavender tones to signify cancer awareness. This thoughtful design choice not only enhances the visual appeal of the frames but also aligns with the charitable cause of the collection. Jeff Press, founder and designer of PRESS Eyewear, expressed the significance of coming together as a collective to support this impactful cause while showcasing each designer’s creativity.

A Legacy of Philanthropy and Style

The anniversary collection is a continuation of the edCFDA’s legacy of supporting charitable efforts. Notably, their annual Pride Eyewear Initiative has raised over $100,000 for LGBTQ+ causes. Reflecting on the growth and achievements of the edCFDA, Lisa Smilor, Executive Vice President of the CFDA, praised the remarkable designers who have successfully brought greater visibility to their unique talents while also making meaningful contributions to various charitable organizations.
