Jacques Marie Mage has launched Yellowstone VI, the sixth installment in its Yellowstone series of limited-edition releases. The collection draws inspiration from Yellowstone’s landscapes, wildlife, and spirit. Yellowstone VI includes four new frame styles—each offered in a single colorway and produced in very limited numbers—making them rarities even by JMM’s usual standards. These frames are not just accessories; they are designed as collectible pieces with sculptural detail and storytelling woven into every element.
The Four Frames
Firehole River
A frame inspired by the river of the same name that runs through Yellowstone. A place where nature’s raw drama is always at work. The frame has a ’60s-style panto shape, made from plant-based acetate in a swirling amber and beige blend, with brown lenses. The frame is adorned with special medallions in silver at the temple tips. Firehole River is limited to just 300 pieces.
Cougar
A style named for the Cougar Creek Pack, a historic wolf pack in Yellowstone. It takes on an ’80s navigator shape with a double‑bridge, in Green Moss acetate, with lenses in dandelion yellow. Limited to 350 pieces.
755M
This frame pays tribute to the wolf known by 755M, a powerful figure roaming Yellowstone’s Lamar Canyon, Wapiti Lake, and Beartooth Packs. This frame is a ’70s‑inspired pilot silhouette made from 100% beta titanium. With mist-blue lenses, titanium accents, and gold plating that comes together in a design intended to feel strong yet wearable. 755M is limited to only 300 pieces.
Lupine
More rectangular and reserved, but still unmistakably part of the Yellowstone tradition. Made from plant‑based acetate in a clear blue finish with gradient Wonder Gray lenses. This frame is limited to 350.
Craftsmanship & Collectability
Every frame in Yellowstone VI is handcrafted with meticulous care. JMM uses elaborate metalwork—engraved wirecores, custom hinges, plating in light gold or silver, specially made medallions, and detailed inner‑temple markings. Packaging is also special: each frame comes with a custom display. custom box, custom leather case, custom cleaning cloth and certificate of authenticity.
Because each frame is made in only one colorway and limited to a few hundred pieces, the Yellowstone VI collection appeals to collectors who value rarity, story, and detail—not just aesthetics. Once a model sells out, that exact variant is unlikely to return. These are heirloom pieces meant for wearing, observing, and holding on to.
Conservation
Yellowstone VI is more than just a style release. The collection supports Yellowstone Forever’s wolf research programs, efforts to conserve bison, and efforts to recognize and honor the presence of Tribal communities in Yellowstone. The naming of frames, the imagery, and the special “Howling Wolf” iconography provide respect for the living ecosystems that inspired the work.
