Jacques Marie Mage has unveiled its latest limited-edition release: the Marianne Faithfull by JMM collection. This tribute honors the enduring influence of singer, actress, and cultural icon Marianne Faithfull through the introduction of a single new silhouette—Evelyn. The oversized, square-shaped frame draws inspiration from the glasses Faithfull wore in the 1960s and is available in four distinct color stories, each tied to a pivotal moment or song from her career. Every version of Evelyn is handcrafted in Japan, produced in highly limited quantities, and designed to channel the quiet strength and striking elegance that defined Faithfull’s image.
Evelyn in Tomorrow’s Calling
Tomorrow’s Calling, is limited to just 25 pairs. It features plant-based acetate in a Blush Stripe colorway, with Sweet Brown lenses and polished silver palladium detailing. The frame’s design was directly inspired by the eyewear Faithfull wore to court in June 1967 during public support of Rolling Stones members Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. The name references her 1966 single “Tomorrow’s Calling” from the album Faithfull Forever, creating a powerful link between personal history and artistic legacy.
Evelyn in Yesterday
This edition is limited to 200 pairs and features a softer palette, with Agar-toned acetate and double-laminated temples. Paired with Light Bottle Green lenses and 18k dark gold-plated hardware, Yesterday offers a more subtle interpretation of the silhouette. The name is drawn from Faithfull’s 1965 cover of the Beatles’ hit song “Yesterday,” recorded with assistance from Paul McCartney and released on her album Go Away From The World.
Evelyn in Monday Monday
The most widely available frame in the series, Monday Monday is limited to 250 pairs and constructed in a polished black acetate with sepia lenses and 18k dark gold-plated detailing. The name comes from Faithfull’s 1987 cover of Monday Monday, featured on her Greatest Hits album.
Evelyn in As Tears Go By
Exclusive to the JMM Chiltern-London Gallery, As Tears Go By is limited to 25 pairs. It features acetate in a Crystal Smoke Stripe pattern with dark Nuit lenses and polished silver palladium hardware. The frame pays homage to what is perhaps Faithfull’s most iconic track, written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and released by Faithfull in 1964.
Packaging and Presentation
Each Evelyn frame in the collection is accompanied by a custom Italian-made leather case, a custom silk-covered hard box, and a custom oversized microfiber cleaning cloth. Every piece includes a letterpress certificate of authenticity signed by the craftsman.
