VANNI Eyewear has introduced its latest limited-edition release, a bold and conceptual collection called GOGGLES, created in collaboration with contemporary Italian artist Nicola Bizzarri. More than just eyewear, GOGGLES is a sculptural statement—an exploration of form, utility, and materiality inspired by the shapes and spirit of protective work glasses. It challenges conventional design with a nod to industrial function and artistic expression.
A Functional Form Reimagined
The GOGGLES frame channels the utilitarian aesthetic of Personal Protective Equipment, reimagined as a fashion-forward object. The bold acetate structures evoke the feeling of something assembled, with every visible screw and hinge reinforcing the idea that these are tools as much as accessories.
Nicola Bizzarri, known for his focus on material expression, sees GOGGLES as an object to be “used,” just as it was “made.” This sense of continuity—from concept, to creation, to daily wear—runs throughout the collection. The limited-edition GOGGLES collection consists of one unique frame available in three transparent, monochromatic colorways, each echoing Bizzarri’s minimalist yet expressive aesthetic:
Cobalt Grey:
A transparent blue-grey acetate paired with deeper blue structural elements, offering a cool, subdued tone.
Iron Red:
A warm, transparent orange-tan base with darker orange details, drawing attention with its earthy industrial undertone.
Mineral Green:
A light green hue enriched with deeper green accents, subtle yet vibrant, and reminiscent of oxidized metal or natural stone.
