Jacques Marie Mage has released the latest chapter in its ongoing partnership with stylist and image maker George Cortina. The new George Cortina for JMM collection introduces three limited edition frames: Delean, Cortina, and Hollywood. Each model arrives in smaller production numbers than typical JMM releases, making this drop especially scarce.

This collaboration is built on a shared approach to design. Cortina has long favored restraint over decoration and proportion over noise. The result is eyewear that feels controlled, direct, and quietly powerful.

The Cortina Influence

George Cortina’s career spans more than three decades. He has shaped the visual identity of major fashion houses and collaborated with some of the most respected photographers in the industry. His work has always leaned toward clarity and intention rather than trend.

His connection with Jacques Marie Mage began in Rome nearly seven years ago. After losing his sunglasses while traveling, he discovered the Dealan silhouette in a boutique. He admired the shape but imagined it stripped down and simplified. That instinct led to a creative partnership that has now produced multiple collections, each one refining familiar JMM forms through a more minimal lens.

Cortina has removed JMM’s signature arrowhead front pins in previous collaborations and reduced overt branding in favor of cleaner surfaces. For him, eyewear is ornament, but it should not shout. Luxury, in his view, is subtle. It is the ability to move through the world without excess attention.

Delean: The Icon Refined

The Delean in this collection is a reinterpretation of JMM’s most recognized silhouette. Here, it appears in a single colorway and is limited to just 200 pieces. The frame is entirely black, stripped of front pins, and finished with custom hinges in dark gold and spur-shaped rivet heads in silver palladium.

The design feels deliberate and direct. By removing decorative elements and reducing contrast, the Delean becomes more architectural. It keeps the attitude of the original while presenting it in a quieter, more streamlined form.

Cortina: Elevated Aviators

The Cortina frame returns as an acetate aviator with exposed wirecores and refined metal hardware. It is available in four colorways, each limited to only 50 pairs.

Handcrafted in Japan, the Cortina mixes polished metal details with sculpted acetate in a way that feels balanced. The frame carries hints of military influence alongside references to Golden-era glamour, but the overall tone remains controlled rather than theatrical.

Hollywood: Titanium with Cinematic Edge

The Hollywood frame is a titanium navigator that leans into proportion and detail. Available in four colorways, each limited to 75 pieces, it offers a slightly larger run than the Cortina.

Constructed from 100 percent beta titanium, the Hollywood features a defined brow bar, dual-tone embellishments, engraved Art Deco details, and sculptural acetate temple tips. The frame carries a strong presence without feeling heavy. Its lines are clean, and its detailing is precise.

Quiet Luxury in Limited Form

This release reinforces the idea that eyewear can express taste without overt display. Cortina’s philosophy of luxury as privacy comes through clearly. The frames do not rely on branding to assert themselves. Instead, they lean on structure, material, and subtle detail.
