Bo Joe for JMM is created in collaboration with artist and silversmith Bo Joe. The collection introduces two new eyeglass styles produced in three colorways each, with small, numbered editions. The frames feel personal and cultural, with details that speak to land, ancestry, and identity.
DINÉ
The first frame in the collection is DINÉ, a square-shaped frame with strong sculpted acetate and a confident presence. DINÉ is available in three colorways. DINÉ takes its name from the Diné word meaning “the people.” The frame carries meaning through every mark and surface. The imagery reflects rising light, flowing rivers, and the act of guiding smoke in healing rituals.
BLOODSTONE features a clear exterior with black centers and bordeaux interiors and is limited to 100 pairs.
BEAU has a clear beige exterior with a dark havana interior and is limited to 75 pairs.
BRUT is a clear beige acetate limited to 50 pairs.
T’IIS-NÁZBĄS
The second frame in the collection is T’IIS-NÁZBĄS, a refined panto-shaped design with a softer profile but the same level of meaning and artistry. It is offered in the same three colorways as DINÉ. T’IIS-NÁZBĄS is named for the Diné phrase meaning “Trees in a Circle,” a community near the Four Corners Monument and the home of Bo Joe’s grandparents.
BRUT limited to 50 pairs.
BEAU limited to 75 pairs.
BLOODSTONE limited to 100 pairs.
Presentation and Experience
Every frame in the Bo Joe for JMM collection arrives in JMM’s monograph box set, which includes a fringed leather eyewear pouch, a soft dust bag, an oversized commemorative cleaning cloth, and a letterpress authenticity card with collection notes. The experience reinforces the idea that these pieces are meant to be collected, kept, and appreciated over time.
Accessories That Extend the Story
The Bo Joe for JMM release also includes a series of accessories created alongside the eyewear. The collection features rings, a brooch, a pendant, and a bill clip, each made with the same materials and artistic themes found in the frames. Rather than feeling like extras, these pieces extend the story of the collaboration into wearable objects beyond eyewear.
