Ultra Limited has released six new eyewear designs, each handmade in Italy and crafted through a detailed production process that can take up to 71 days. The name frames are original and strikingly vibrant.
A Production Process Built Around Time and Precision
Every Ultra Limited frame is made using a process that involves more than forty stages. The acetate used in production is laminated from twelve different color sheets, selected and combined by hand. No two sheets are alike, and each lamination yields a pattern that is impossible to replicate.
This labor-intensive method means that even within a single model, no frame looks identical to another. The design is never printed or dyed after the fact. Instead, color is built into the material itself, layered with care and cut with purpose. Final shaping and assembly are also handled by skilled artisans in the Belluno district of Italy, where frame-making remains a time-honored craft. From start to finish, the creation of one frame may take more than two months to complete.
The New Collection
Each of the six new frames in this collection embodies a specific design language and visual identity.
Giudecca – a cat-eye shape that mixes tradition with a contemporary sense of elegance. It is offered in blue, burgundy, havana, and black, and features subtle contouring that enhances its profile without sacrificing wearability.
Bergeggi – A bolder geometric frame. The shape is irregular and expressive, giving it a striking presence on the face. The temples feature a diamond-patterned texture, created through thermoforming.
Andria – a rounded shape that suits a wide range of wearers. It balances color saturation with simplicity. The rim is cut from a single-color acetate, forming a clear edge around the multi-color laminated body. Available in white, blue, black, and red, it is unisex in style and expressive in tone.
Mantova – a more angular profile with a geometric cut. It is subtle in size but sharp in detail. The outer top and bottom parts of the frame feature coordinated acetate sheets that amplify its form. Despite the layered colors, the construction remains clean and cohesive. It is a lightweight and visually distinctive frame.
Rovigo – a strong square shape with modern proportions. Like Andria, it uses a single-color acetate rim to define its outline, creating contrast against the vivid laminated core. Its aesthetic appeals to those who prefer bold lines with high visual impact.
Piana – another cat-eye silhouette this time with a sculptural element on the upper front of the frame. This elevated relief creates dimension and reflects light differently across the surface, adding nuance to the color pattern.
Made to Be One of One
No frame produced by Ultra Limited is ever duplicated. The combination of layered acetate sheets and hand-crafted shaping ensures that each pair of glasses is different from the next. This approach gives the wearer not just a product, but a singular object that no one else will own. The brand does not mass produce or rely on molds. Instead, Ultra Limited treats every pair as a unique result of a complex, time-based process.
Every release is limited, and each batch is produced in small quantities. Even if the same model is made again, the colors and details will differ. This makes every frame a collectible and a visual statement.
